DIY: School Planner

Hey guys,

So recently I have been buying some school supplies ready for next year. This year I get to have my own planner so I thought I would personalise it and have some fun! I know a lo of schools don't allow this, but the same technique can be applied to any type of stationary: folders, notebooks etc.

Firstly, you need to choose a colour theme. I chose grey and pink because they are my favourite combination of colours. So I looked for images of my favourite things in these colours and put them onto a power point.
I printed this, cut out the images and arranged them on the diary.
I then glued the images down how I wanted.

Then I made the page bookmark. I did this by tying a piece of string half way along, around the cover of the diary. Then the piece left to hang down, I highlighted in the matching colour. Then I got a sticky label, wrote what I wanted on it, and folded it in half around the edge of the string.

Then I chose a coloured piece of washy tape. I got grey to match my theme. I placed two layers of this over the string to hide it and make it look neater.

Then I covered it in sticky- back plastic so that it was waterproof and would be more durable.

Drugstore makeup haul and review

Hey guys!

I went out and bought some makeup a few weeks ago and have tested all the products, so I thought I would tell you what I think.

L’Oreal Infallible 24hour matte foundation in 11 vanilla

Bourjois bronze and highlight duo

Maybelline colour tattoo 35 on and on bronze

Nivia fruity shine watermelon lip balm

Rimmel Brit manicure nail colour 445 English rose

The first thing I bought was the L’Oreal infallible foundation. I hadn’t heard much about it but I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this product. The colours are quite dark, so if you are very pale I would be careful, but it is my new go to foundation! A small amount of product goes a long way with this, and it gives great coverage. The matte finish isn’t to fake and it quite natural. It is very buildable and affordable. I would definitely recommend trying out this product!

I wanted a new bronzer since I was running out of my old one and I was also looking for a highlight and so I thought I would purchase the bourjois bronze and highlight duo. It is small and handy as it ia a multi use product. I love the highlighter and I think it gives a nice glow to the face. The bronzer is a great shade for pale skin, but you need to use a lot to make any difference. I have to use a dense brush and pile a lot on which is a bit annoying. I like the results once I do this, but overall I think I will keep looking for a better bronzer.

Next I bought the Maybelline colour tattoo in on and on bronze which I am in love with. It comes off a lot more natural than it looks in the packaging, the consistency is great and you can layer it to get a bold look! I would really recommend this product and I absolutely love it!

I have been in love with nivia for years so when they brought out these tinted lip balms I was really excited. I like that it is very moisturising and it feels great on your lips but the colour payoff is not that good. It is a great colour but on my dark lips it is not that visible. It does give a subtle shine though so I do enjoy using it. It you have pale lips this would look great.

Finally I wanted a nail coloured nail- polish and this rimmel one is great. It lasts quite a long time, and it is a really nice colour. The only thing I would say is if you write a lot with inky pens it does tend to stain!! But overall I really love this nail varnish.
